Hi,

Is it worth upgrading to Console Live from Console 7? Are there any benefits that would make the change worth while? Also, is there any cost involved in changing? Has anyone had any experience with changing from the progrma,s is there much involved in the change over? Is there anything that our computer needs prior to updating or that we should ensure is updated prior to the installation of Gateway Live?

We upgraded to live about 6 months ago but I think from an earlier version than 7 so some changes you may have had already.. I was upgrading our computers at the same time.. I would recommend moving to Windows 7 and running console live..

The main differences on functionality I noted were receipting and payments .. I am sure there is more in the back end area.. Nothing major though.. it does seem more efficient and quicker backing up etc.. but that may be the new computers..

there are a few good items which i dont think were in 7 which have helped me being -

- Sold wizard is very helpful for changing owners on a sold property without having to do an end of month
- There are eft options on one off payments and also on sale settlements where they can be entered during the payment
- You can delete the tenant of an inspection report file in property and then add on a new tenant and make updates to the inspection report rather than retyping

The actual update was very simple, I think we backed up and then restored to live and that was it..

There are now over 1700 Console clients using the Gateway Live version and its certainly proving itself in the market.

We have noticed the difference in the end of month process with the Gateway Live version now printing statements after the disbursement. These can also be printed at a later date if required. This would be great for Property Managers wanting to make sure the Owners funds were disbursed by COB but didn't have enough time to go through the printing process.

Gateway Live has changes to the property reports, commercial property management reports, improved functionality for sales advertising. Also you can now emailing statements and invoices to commercial tenants as well as email your owners financial year statements.
