Hi..Never used Console Before..Until Now
Hi My nane is Kirstin and i am new to real estate/property managment and have never used Console up until about a month ago.. IUm still trying to learn the basics i guess, i have the fundamentals training manual so im using that to be my teacher at the moment as there is no one to show me the program properly..
I have made a boo boo i think, i didnt know about restoring and the reversing of receipts too much and i input a receipt and i added the wrong dates and i got told to reenter it but when i tried, the dates didnt add up and it wouldnt let me allocate the paymne to that week, so i restored the file and it undid the last months rec, so when im looking at all the rent and payments its all wrong and alot more than it should be.. Not a great start and a bit confusing... I have another issue im not too sure about either and if anyone wants to help it would be greatly appreciated.. I have water bill, rates and body corp and insurances to add and pay before the EOM in a few days.. I dont have a barcode scanner at the moment and have to manually do it.. Also if a tenant says they havent receieved there notice of breach what can i do? as they are 8 weeks behind in rent and keep saying they have put it in but things keep happening with there bank... )))

Hi Kirsten, Sorry for the late reply I just noticed your post and realised you didnt get a reply.
I hope you have sorted out the rent / reversals of receipts as your right it can get very messy when restoring to earlier data files and having to rekey. We do sell the barcode scanners on the www.my.console.com.au website if you would like to purchase one. The barcode scanner is really useful if you have a lot of payments to process at the same time but alternatively you can do it manually. If the tenant say they didn't receive the breach notice you should have some sort of record in your Gateway database to say that it was sent, as well when I was a property manager we had a post out box book which had the details of all mail that was sent at a specific time. This should be sufficient evidence that the breach was sent. I hope you were able to get this sorted but do let me know if you have any questions we may be able to assist you with.
